IS INTERVENTION ALL ABOUT "IN WITH THE NEW" AND "OUT WITH THE OLD"?

Well, not always. Intervention may sound fascinating and intriguing to some but scary and impossible to others. Either way, IT´S DOABLE. Successful intervention depends on teachers, students, parents, superiors and of course the Teacher Coach him/herself. However, a Teacher Coach is not hired to convince you of the intervention´s result or if you like, to sell a nicely wrapped product. A Teacher Coach is there to walk the path with you and make sure you won´t fall back into your old teaching habits.

 

WHAT WE DON´ T DO:

  • We don´t lecture teachers on their performance and efficiency
  • We will not bore you with endless paperbacks of outdated theory on education or suggested reading lists on how to lessen your workload
  • We don´t reprimand teachers on their lack of motivation and energy
  • We do not always have to agree with the teachers' superiors or with the teachers themselves
  • We will not force, imply or suggest any sort of change unless we are 100% certain the teacher and the school community are ready for it
  • WE DO NOT SHARE INFORMATION HIGHLIGHTED AS "CONFIDENTIAL" WITH COLLEAGUES, SUPERIORS OR PARENTS

  • ORGANIZING AND IMPLEMENTING, AMONG OTHER, "STRESS MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS" AND "SMART CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS"
  • SPOTTING AND ANALYZING THE INTELLECTUAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DEMANDS OF THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT TO THE TEACHER
  • DEFINING AND SPEAKING FREELY ABOUT SUPPORT FROM SUPERIORS AND SUPPORT FROM COLLEAGUES
  • DEALING WITH EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION AND FRUSTRATION
  • ADDRESSING ISSUES OF SOMATIC PAINS AND EVALUATING THEIR FREQUENCY
